Championship Chess is the new brand name for the series of congresses that I have been running for the last few years. At our congresses, players will have a choice of taking part in classical, rapid or blitz chess, with games being graded by either by FIDE, Chess Scotland or both. The new season will see our events moving to a 2 day format, a new Junior section (which will now also be graded by SJC) and also the return of our Grand Prix, all in the splendour of some of the best chess venues in the country. So, if you are already a regular or are yet to try out one of our events, why not take in at least one of our congresses during the 2018/19 season. Hope to see you soon.
